The New York Times writes that when you’re as big as Wal-Mart pretty much gets anything they want. And in this case that’s good news for those of us who like buy organic food. Organic food is the in thing these days and Wal-Mart execs have decided that offering more organic foods will give them more appeal to the organic group.
When you pack as much buying power as Wal-Mart does no matter what you do you’re going to impact the market place.
Some organic food advocates applaud the development, saying Wal-Mart’s efforts will help expand the amount of land that is farmed organically and the quantities of organic food available to the public.
