What’s On Your Plate? - Cool Tool!

CNN has published a really fun tool that is designed to make us more aware of what we’re eating. If you’re like me it’s pretty easy to get a little blurry eyed when reading all the nutritional labels. I spent just 20-30 seconds playing around with CNN’s new tool and I have to admit, it’s a real eye opener. In fact, I would say this is a VERY cool tool that is well worth your time.

Using the program, you can click and drag sample foods for each meal onto your plate and get an idea of what you’re currently eating - as well as what you might want to cut back on. A fst food breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns? 590 calories. Cheeseburger, fries, and a soda for lunch? 1123 calories! Ouch!
