Do you think food marketers are deceptive? Was the low carb craze healthy?

Food Product Design has recent published an interesting article about the rise and fall of the low-carb craze. What was even more interesting was that the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association found themselves in agreement regarding the negative health implications of long-term adherence to a rigorous low-carb diet. And yes, they believe that food marketers took advantage of the low carb phenomena to capture profits.
