Soft Drink Distributors Agree To Surrender

Looks like school kids are not going to have soft drinks available from school vending machines any longer. Soft drink distributors have agreed to phase out most sodas for school vending machines. School officials indicate,

Reducing foodstuffs with high calories and little nutritional value in schools will improve health for youngsters, they say.

Elementary schools are all ready soda-free. Now, beverage companies will sell only water, unsweetened juice and low-fat and non-fat milk to elementary and middle schools. Diet sodas and sports drinks will remain in high schools. [Soft Drink Distributors Agree To Surrender]
