Pecan -Stuffed Dates

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOK TIME: 20 minutes

24 pecan halves
24 dates, pitted

Heat oven or toaster oven to 350°F. Spread pecans on a baking tray and bake until lightly toasted and fragrant, about 10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.

Slice dates lengthwise but not all the way through. Place 1 pecan inside each date and use your fingers to close and reseal dates. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Makes 8 (3-piece) servings
