Neotame 10,000 Times Sweeter Than Sugar
Neotame is a relatively new sweetener on the market and understandably there’s not a lot of information about it.
It is made by the same company that makes Nutrasweet and is similar to aspartame another artificial sweetener. But neotame packs just a little more sweetening power than aspartame. In fact, neotame is 10,000 times sweeter than sugar! Now that’s intense! And unlike aspartame, which does not hold up well under heat making it impractical to use in recipes, neotame is heat-stable just like sucralose. Neotime is so powerful that only a tiny amount is needed. As a point of reference: 1/4 teaspoon of neotame has the same amount of sweetness as 22 pounds of sugar!
