Just How Bad Is The Average Man’s Diet?
MSNBC has published an article that takes a look at just how bad the average guys diet is. The article was a result of a study where 740 men were tracked for 16 years.
The greatest risk for heart disease appeared among the Lower Variety group, which included almost one-third of the men. These men ate the least number of vegetables, fruits and whole grains of all the groups. Thus, they had the lowest consumption of fiber and many nutrients.
One of the more important outcomes of the study was the fact that increasing both the amount and variety of vegetables, fruits and whole grains you eat will greatly improve your diet. Also, by including more natural plant substances the study found that this style of eating actually lowers cancer risk. In addition, studies show there is less weight gain for people who eat this way. [Just How Bad Is The Average Man's Diet?]
