Can Soy and Rice Milk Harm Our Kids?

Newsweek ran an article looking into the reported issue of soy and rice milk harming children. In the article epidemiologist Kelley Scanlon indicated the Georgia health authorities had called them with some pretty alarming news. Apparently, parents of two infants who had weaned their babies onto soy and rice based milk now had children suffering from rickets and kwashiorkor.

Soy and rice are popular with adults because they are low in fat and cholesterol. However, if parents give the drinks to infants as a primary source of nutrition leads to health problems associated with kids in Third World countries. [Can Soy and Rice Milk Harm Our Kids?]
